This is the player the Connecticut Sun hoped they were getting when they drafted Aneesah Morrow with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft.

Now in year two, she’s leading the WNBA in double-doubles and showing off a dominant frontcourt presence as she rises toward stardom.
The former LSU star is just 6-foot-1, but she’s always been a dominant force on the glass.
So far this season, Morrow has six double-doubles through nine games.

Overall, she’s averaging 11.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game.
Morrow will have to improve her efficiency still — she’s at 41.0% from the floor, 28.1% from 3-point range and 57.1% from the foul line.
But she has a clear ability to win on the glass, and the 23-year old from Chicago is doing just that.

Those two games in the middle with limited production were Morrow’s lowest minutes of the season by far. When the Sun give her a full slate of action, she usually delivers.
Connecticut’s franchise is in a tough spot, soon to be on the move and struggling on the court. But if Morrow can keep improving, she has the potential to be a key piece of what they do going forward.
