The Phoenix Suns officially confirmed the signings of center Mark Williams along with guards Collin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin on Tuesday.
General manager Brian Gregory praised the trio during the announcement, calling it a “great day for our organization” and saying all three players were “instrumental in our success last year,” according to Logan Stanley of The Arizona Republic.
As Stanley notes, Phoenix chose to prioritize roster continuity despite agreeing to send Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale to the Hornets in exchange for Miles Bridges.
After improving to 45 wins during the 2025/26 season, the Suns focused on retaining much of their core while continuing to build on the progress they made.
Gregory emphasized that continuity and internal player development will be “a big key for us” heading into the new season.
Goodwin also believes keeping the majority of last year’s rotation together will benefit the team in 2026/27, pointing to the strong bond the group developed both on and off the floor.
“It’s going to be huge,” Goodwin said. “We had the chemistry on the court, off the court. We were all brothers, no arguments, everybody’s locked in. So it’s gonna be real fun.”
