Team England Select Squad of 42 for Commonwealth Games

A total of 42 swimmers will represent Team England at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in July.

The squad bound for the action at Tollcross International Swimming Centre comprises 28 swimmers and 14 para swimmers.

Among them are Adam Ramsay-Peaty – looking for a fourth straight Commonwealth title 12 years after his international debut at the 2014 edition – Tom Dean, Freya Colbert, Eva Okaro and James Guy.

Two-time Commonwealth champion Alice Tai will once again compete for Team England, having won back-to-back S9 100m backstroke titles in 2018 and 2022. She is joined by fellow Paralympic champions Poppy Maskill, Rebecca Redfern, William Ellard, Brock Whiston and Louise Fiddes.

Swim England Head of Sport and Team England Team Leader for Swimming and Para-Swimming, Richard Blackshaw, said: “The swimming team is immensely proud and excited to have the opportunity to represent Team England and the English swimming community at the Commonwealth Games, an honour that does not come around often for athletes.

“What makes this team particularly special is its fully integrated nature, bringing together Para and Olympic pathway athletes to compete as one unified group, reflecting the very best of inclusivity and shared ambition.

“United by a common goal, the team is determined to represent Team England with distinction this summer, both in and out of the pool, and to showcase the strength, resilience and talent within English swimming.”

Team England Chef de Mission, Jonathon Riall, said: “It’s brilliant to be able to announce such a strong swimming squad for Glasgow 2026.

“We have a number of returning Commonwealth champions and true stars of the sport, alongside some new faces who are set to make their mark this summer.”
