Bayern Munich legend Thomas Müller left his home in Bavaria to pursue a career in the MLS not too long ago, but it looks like he’s already breaking records.
At the MLS All-Star Skills Challenge in Charlotte, North Carolina, Müller managed to not only win the Shooting Challenge, but also break the record. With 79 points, out of a total possible 84 points, he surpassed the previous record from 2025 (72) set by FC Cincinnati player Evander.
In the challenge, contestants have 60 seconds to strike balls from a designated spot into various fixed targets positioned inside the goal frame. The targets each have their own points, starting with 2, and the highest being 10. In the last 20 seconds, a moving target appears which is worth 20 points, as an added challenge. Müller actually hit 10 out of 11 targets, smiling the whole time, not counting the moving target that he hit on his first try.

In a funny coincidence later in the event, Evander actually equaled Müller’s newly minted 79-point score, leaving the two tied atop the event’s all-time leaderboard. The former German international took home the crown at the end of the day, though.
