The Red Sox almost certainly weren’t done making deadline deals before the Curtis Mead trade, and in the wake of his instant season-jeopardizing injury, they’re… almost more certainly not done. The question isn’t necessarily who’s available, but who isn’t? Do they believe Triston Casas still has something? What about Marcelo Mayer? Is Franklin Arias just too good to deal? (Mind you, the same would have been said about the previous two guys at some point.) What about the other top prospects? I’m sort of operating under the assumption that everyone is nominally available, but I could be wrong. Who wouldn’t you want them to deal?
