UFC 329 video: Conor McGregor, Max Holloway make weight for welterweight rematch

LAS VEGAS – Conor McGregor is officially back and Max Holloway is now a welterweight after the UFC 329 headliners made weight on Friday morning.

McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) stepped on the scale for the first time in five years ahead of his anticipated MMA return against Holloway (27-9 MMA, 23-9 UFC), who he beat by unanimous decision in their first fight at featherweight in August 2013. They run it back two weight classes up on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena (Paramount+).

McGregor has fought at welterweight multiple times before, but was arguably in his best shape of all when he stepped on the scale at 170.5 pounds. Holloway, meanwhile, debuted a new physique at 170 on the nose for his divisional debut. He was the first fighter to come to the scale in the two-hour session, and McGregor was two fighters behind him.

One of the biggest fights of the year is now official, and all signs point to McGregor’s return to the cage finally coming to reality.
