After a solid season that saw them advance to the NCAA Touranment, the Syracuse women’s basketball program has had a busy spring and summer.
The Orange have seen multiple players leave the program via graduation and the transfer portal, but head coach Felisha Legette-Jack has been active on the recruiting front as well, adding players from both the transfer portal and high school level. On Friday afternoon, the Orange announced another signing for this year’s roster.

The Orange women’s basketball program announced the signing of Celaine Ricco via social media and the school’s athletic website.
Ricco is a 5-foot-7 guard from Seine-et-Marne, France. For the past three years, she has represented France on the FIBA international stage.
It is hard to project what Ricco’s role on this season’s roster will be. Ricco averaged less than three points per game during her three years representing France in FIBA. Perhaps the high level of international competition will give her the ability to step in and contribute, but she could also need time to adjust to the American game.

She could be a redshirt candidate.
After the signing of Ricco, the Orange now have eight new additions to the team.
That includes:
Sarah Rambus- A transfer from Oregon
Tyi Skinner- A transfer from SMU
Jaleesa Molina- A transfer from Temple
Emely Rodriguez-A transfer from Iowa
Elif Cayir-An international prospect from Turkey.
Madison Howard and Destiny Robinson are the two high school players who are set to make their collegiate debut this season.
Plus, this year’s team will feature the return of Uche Izoje, who won the ACC Rookie of the Year last season.
The other likely contributors include returning players Shy Hawkins, Dominique Darius and Olivia Schmitt.
