Former title challenger Marlon Vera will have the chance to get back on track in September.
At UFC 331 on Sept. 19, Vera (23-12-1 MMA, 15-11 UFC) is set to face Charles Jourdain in a bantamweight contest. The matchup was announced by Iridium Sports Agency, which represents Vera. The event does not yet have a confirmed location or venue, although it is rumored to take place at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

Since his title shot against Sean O’Malley at UFC 299, the results haven’t been kind to Vera. He enters this matchup on a four-fight skid, all of which went the distance. His last win was a unanimous nod over Pedro Munhoz at UFC 292 in August 2023, which led to his title opportunity.
On the other side, Jourdain (18-8-1 MMA, 9-7-1 UFC) is on the best run of his UFC career. He’s currently on a three-fight winning streak, which includes back-to-back guillotine submissions of Victory Henry and Davey Grant. His most recent fight was in April, where he picked up a unanimous decision over Kyler Phillips.
At the time of writing, there are no other fights confirmed for the event.
