A fun flyweight matchup is heading for the UFC’s trip to Shanghai.
At UFC Fight Night 286 on Aug. 29 at Shanghai Indoor Stadium, Kevin Borjas and Rei Tsuruya will meet at 125 pounds. MMA Junkie confirmed with a pair of sources that the matchup is set for the event. The promotion has yet to make an official announcement.

Borjas (11-5 MMA, 2-4 UFC), a Dana White’s Contender Series signee, has struggled to find his footing in the UFC and will look to break his current pattern of losing two and winning one. He enters this fight after a unanimous decision win over Andre Lima, although he missed the flyweight limit at weigh-ins.
Tsuruya (11-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC), a Road to UFC vet, debuted at UFC 303 at flyweight, where he defeated Carlos Hernandez by decision. Although he ended up on the wrong side of the scorecards in his sophomore appearance against now-champion Joshua Van, Tsuruya won his most recent outing at bantamweight by submitting Luis Gurule in the first round at UFC Fight Night 277.
