Though the promotion is holding its Macau event Saturday, two UFC bouts headlined the Road to UFC events earlier in the week. In Friday’s Road to UFC headliner, Ming Shi bounced back into the win column with a 3:12 submission win via arm-triangle choke against Puja Tomar. The strawweight bout took place at Galaxy Arena.
Shi (18-6 MMA, 2-1 UFC), who is also a medical doctor in addition to being a fighter, picked up her first win since a devastating Road to the UFC final head kick knockout of Xiaocan Feng in November 2024. Her sophomore UFC appearance came in August when she lost a unanimous decision to Bruna Brasil.

Tomar (9-6 MMA, 1-2 UFC), the first woman from India ever to compete in the UFC, falls into a two-fight skid.
The other main-roster fight took place atop the Road to UFC card Thursday. Rong Zhu (28-6 MMA, 4-3 UFC) defeated Victor Martinez (13-7 MMA, 0-3 UFC), who missed weight by two pounds, via first-round knockout in 70 seconds.
