April may have been cool in many parts of the country, but it was another red-hot month for the LFA.
It’s almost as if the fighters under that banner know it’s the top feeder promotion for the UFC, and picking up impressive wins there is one of the surest ways to get a call from the big show. It may be just coincidence, but the LFA has what seems to be a preponderance of stoppages compared to many of its MMA promotional contemporaries.

And that includes the UFC. If you’re looking for knockouts and submissions, they happen in the UFC at closer to a 40 percent rate. But in the LFA? In February, that clip was around 87 percent. And in April, in its two shows in Minnesota and Oklahoma, the LFA’s fighters turned out 20 stoppages in 25 fights – right at 80 percent.
