FSU extends offer to 2029 in-state edge

by

Florida State has been busy hosting potential prospects and offering scholarships as of late, which is customary this time of year. On Friday morning, 2029 edge TJ Franklin got an offer from the Seminoles.

“After a great conversation with @Coach2Bless I’m grateful to receive my second D1 offer to @FSUFootball,” Franklin said on social media.

The first D1 offer for Franklin came back in January from the Troy Trojans, and he’s already taken a few trips despite being just a high school freshman. Franklin visited both the Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers in April.

In 2025, Franklin played in nine games for Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder racked up 12 tackles, four tackles for loss, two sacks, and two quarterback hurries.

Franklin is one of several prospects in the 2029 class that FSU has offered lately, along with offensive lineman Atreyu Creantor, defensive lineman J’deion Jackson, and safety Justin Stewart, who are all in-state recruits as well.
