Washington Football Hires Utah State Analyst as Special Teams Analyst

by

The Washington Huskies have hired Utah State special teams analyst Brett Arkelian to the same position, filling an open position created by the departure of former assistant special teams coach Greg Froelich to Bowling Green last month.

Arkelian, pronounced “Are-kelly-en”, comes to the Huskies after two seasons as an analyst for the Aggies, working primarily with junior place kicker Tanner Rinker. Prior to his time in Logan the author of “The Kicker’s Bible”—a 200-page book on kicking training methods and techniques—spent time at Marshall (2020), Virginia Tech (2021), UC Davis (2022), Fresno State (2023) and New Mexico (2024) helping coach some of the best special teams units in college football at almost every stop.

A record-setting kicker and punter at Division-II Lincoln University in Pennsylvania from 2014-17, Arkelian finished his college playing career at UT Martin in 2018 before entering the coaching ranks as a special team & safeties graduate assistant for the Skyhawks.
