Paige Bueckers achieved an incredible feat following a stretch of performances that extended into her latest display during the Dallas Wings’ clash with the Toronto Tempo on Sunday night.

Bueckers is going through the second year of her WNBA career with the Wings. She impressed throughout her rookie campaign, winning Rookie of the Year honors while becoming an All-Star.

This season is important for Bueckers and Dallas as they attempt to go from the lottery to the playoffs within two years. So far, they are off to good start as they try to keep up that momentum.

That remained the case for Dallas as Bueckers led them to the 89-76 win over the Tempo. In 31 minutes of action, she finished with a stat line of 22 points, seven assists and three rebounds. She shot 9-of-16 from the field, including 1-of-3 from beyond the arc, and 3-of-3 from the free-throw line. Her efforts allowed her to make WNBA history, per reporter Alexa Philippou.

“Via ESPN Research: Paige Bueckers has scored at least 20 points and shot at least 50% from the field in five straight games, tying Katie Smith in 2003 for the longest such streak by a guard in WNBA history,” Philippou wrote.

How Paige Bueckers, Wings played against Tempo

Paige Bueckers is on a roll as she continues helping the Wings win games, especially after taking down the Tempo.

Five players scored in double-digits for Dallas in the win, including Bueckers. Azzi Fudd had a solid performance with 17 points, three rebounds, three steals, and two assists. She shot 6-of-16 overall, including 5-of-11 from downtown. Jessica Shepard came next with 14 points and 15 rebounds, while Arike Ogunbowale and Awak Kuier provided 10 points each.

Dallas improved to a 13-8 record on the season, holding the fourth spot in the Western Conference standings. They are above the Los Angeles Sparks and the Portland Fire while trailing the Golden State Valkyries and the Las Vegas Aces.

The Wings will look forward to their next matchup, remaining on the road. They take on the New York Liberty on July 7 at 8 p.m. ET.
