After a slow start in the transfer portal, the Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball team has added its second player.
6-foot-10 Hofstra forward Victory Onuetu has transferred to the Badgers, according to Matt Zenitz.

Landing guard Trey Autry was a great first addition, but now Onuetu gives this team much-needed height. Austin Rapp and Nolan Winter are strong options, but the team’s frontcourt depth was extremely thin.
Onuetu started 17 of the 35 games he appeared in last season for Hofstra. He averaged 17.9 minutes per game, with his most impressive stat being 6.9 rebounds per game.
The native of Spain will only have one year of eligibility remaining, so he’s yet another one-and-done style player. In the age of the transfer portal, this has become quite common, but it’s not exactly sustainable for long-term success.

Regardless, Onuetu averaged 4.7 points and 1.0 blocks per game in his first collegiate season. He scored a career high 13 points at Iona and is a FIBA U19 World Cup and FIBA U18 European Champion.
