Dybantsa was selected by Washington with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 draft after a one-and-done season at BYU. He then made his way into the NBA with two flashy appearances in Las Vegas: The rookie forward scored 27 points in his summer league debut, and added 23 in his second game.

In total, Dybantsa averaged 25 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists across the two games.
