Thursday night’s WNBA slate is populated with plenty teams ready to tout their players’ All-Star credentials, celebrating their successes in order to make sure they’re in Chicago on Saturday, July 25. But, how many of these teams might secure multiple All-Stars? Could any actually achieve three All-Stars?

Let’s look at the matchups and consider which, if any, of Thursday night’s competitors could send three of their stars to Chicago. Share your opinions in the comments.
Chicago Sky vs. Indiana Fever (7 p.m. ET, Prime Video)
When they were 3-1, the Sky likely were confident that multiple hometown representatives would participate in the All-Star festivities.
Now? Chicago likely needs a win streak, powered by consistent, ceiling-scratching play from the likes of Kamilla Cardoso or seven-timer Skylar Diggins, for Skytown to receive an All-Star.
Indiana, for all the (over)reactionary angst that surrounds them, is better situated to secure three All-Stars, something that happened last season even with Caitlin Clark’s limited availability.
All of Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston are producing in ways that justify All-Star talk. Despite her scoring inefficiency, Clark is leading the league in assists. Boston is scoring a career-high 15.8 points per game, boosted by a 41.7 percent mark from deep. Mitchell’s 20.5 points per game also is a career best.

For all the magic of Marine Johànnes and precociousness of Pauline Astier, Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones profile as the only All-Star-worthy Liberty, with Sabrina Ionescu’s injuries excising her from any All-Star acclaim.
Stewie, a seven-time All-Star who already is a two-time Player of the Week for the 2026 season, is a lock. JJ is almost posting a double-double, scoring just over 13 points and grabbing 9.5 rebounds, a top-five mark league-wide, per game. Those stats, combined with New York’s top-four record, put her in position to earn the sixth All-Star selection of her career.
The Dream, entering this Eastern Conference Commissioner’s Cup showdown at No. 3 in the league standings, have three players on an All-Star trajectory.

Yes, you have permission to vote for Rhyne Howard, the league-leader in steals who also is putting together the most efficient scoring season of her career. Allisha Gray hasn’t quite found her 3-point stroke this season, but she’s still scoring more than she did last season, with her 19.2 points per game placing her just outside of the top five of the scoring leaderboard. The WNBA’s rebounding queen, Angel Reese is one of three players averaging a double-double.

Phoenix Mercury vs. Dallas Wings (9 p.m. ET, Prime Video)
Alyssa Thomas will be the lone All-Star for arguably the WNBA’s most disappointing team in the Mercury.

Are three All-Stars a possibility for on of the WNBA’s most surprising teams in the Wings? Paige Bueckers is guaranteed to soon be a two-time All-Star. Who will join her in Chicago?
Will Jess Shepard capture her first All-Star selection? The answer is almost definitive yes, at least thus far. Empowered more often in Dallas, she’s averaging 13.4-point and 11.2-rebound double-double, in addition to 5.6 assists.
Will Azzi Fudd be a a first-year All-Star? Fudd’s fanbase, certainly, will flood the ballot box for their favorite. And, she’s not undeserving.
While Azzi has experienced ups and downs, the stats support her case. Her less than 12 points per game may seem modest for an All-Star, but she’s shooting over 40 percent 3. Most importantly, the Wings are at their best when Azzi’s on the court. Dallas outscores opponents by a team-best 7.4 points per game in her minutes. The stats don’t wow, but the impact on winning is undeniable.
After missing out last season, could Arike Ogunbowale get back to the All-Star Game? That she’s scoring less, and less efficiently, than she did last season suggests she’s not on an All-Star track. However, a couple of Arike explosions, possibly on Thursday night against Phoenix, could insert her into the All-Star arena.

Could the Aces have four All-Stars?
A’ja Wilson will be there. So will Jackie Young. That will be eight All-Stars for A’ja and five for Jackie.
Chelsea Gray’s scoring stats are similar to last season, when she was not an All-Star. However, her 7.2 assists per game are third in the league, behind only Clark’s 7.9 and and Thomas’ 7.7. If the Aces, currently second in the league standings, can maintain that position, her winning resume could result in the fourth All-Star honor of her career.

The fourth Ace? No, Jewell Loyd has not rediscoverd her All-Star form. But, could Chennedy Carter be a first-time, off-the-bench All-Star?
The stats scream All-Star. She’s scoring 17.5 points in just over 20 minutes per game on absurd efficiency from all over the floor. Vegas is also outscoring opponents by 6.4 points per game in Carter’s minutes, the best mark on the team.
Carter’s missed the past three games with a leg injury, which has her listed as questionable for Thursday’s game. Injury should be the only thing that prevents her for generating legit All-Star buzz.
On a three-game losing streak and now outside the playoff picture, Portland seems unlikely to earn an expansion season All-Star. But if either of their most conceivable candidates, Bridget Carleton or Carla Leite, who is questionable with a quad injury, explodes in an upset of the Aces, their All-Star campaign will be on.
