WNBA star Angel Reese is a vision on the 2026 Met Gala carpet, owning the night with a dazzling ensemble.
For the third consecutive year, Reese returned to grace the carpet at one of the biggest events in fashion. In 2024, she celebrated her 22nd birthday at the Met Gala in a custom mint-green 16Arlington by Marco Capaldo gown. Reese followed that up with an appearance in 2025, wearing a stellar two-piece black-and-white Thom Browne look aligned with the event’s theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.”
On Monday, in accordance with the Met Gala’s 2026 theme, “Costume Art,” the Atlanta Dream forward looked like a true Bayou Barbie in a custom pink Altuzarra gown that channeled old Hollywood. Reese complemented her look with a diamond necklace featuring a pink pendant.

Ahead of the event, Reese revealed that she changed her nails, toes and hair, including dying her hair jet black especially for the Met Gala. Reese did not spill any details about what she would be wearing on the carpet at the time, but during a WNBA media availability, she touted the Met Gala as another chance to promote women’s sports.”It’s just another expansion of women’s sports and continuing to build our brand outside of just being a basketball player,” Reese said. “This organization … has continued to help me on a platform, being able to be a part of something that’s special. So there are gonna be some WNBA players there tonight, and I’m excited to see (them), but that should just be the standard. And hopefully, you’ll see more of them.”The two-time WNBA All-Star is part of a group of several confirmed women athletes attending the Met Gala. Tennis legend Venus Williams is one of four co-chairs for the event, and three-time WNBA champion A’ja Wilson is on the host committee. Two-time WNBA champion and Dream co-owner Renee Montgomery will be on the red carpet.
