Menifield (17-6-1 MMA, 10-6-1 UFC) also will be losing to rebound from being finished after losing to former UFC title challenger Volkan Oezdemir by first-round TKO last November. Menifield is 2-3 in his past five UFC fights.

Zhang, who was recently running hot until running into Johnny Walker, has made the bold move to train at Walker’s home gym, Xtreme Couture MMA, ahead of this fight. I’ll be curious to see what improvements Zhang has made, especially considering the somewhat underrated wrestling form Menifield.

A Menifield upset wouldn’t be the most shocking thing in the world, but the American has traditionally done poorly when having to fight overseas (officially standing at 0-2-1 in the UFC).
I’ll side with the younger fighter who is fighting on familiar grounds and pick Zhang to win by knockout in Round 1.
