Elle Ladine will be staying in Seattle to get her professional career started.
The former Huskies women’s basketball standout received a training camp invitation from the Seattle Storm on Tuesday after a storied career on Montlake.
A 5-foot-11 guard from San Francisco, California, Ladine was one of the first recruits to commit to coach Tina Langley, whom Washington extended this offseason. She became the 13th player to score at least 1,300 points and pull down 500 or more rebounds, is No. 8 in program history with 166 made three pointers, and No. 4 in school history, with a career free throw percentage of 80.3. A 2024 game against Northwestern also made Ladine the fourth player in school history to score 40 or more points in a single game for the Huskies.

Ladine averaged 11.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists on 42.5 percent shooting from the field and 34.1 percent from three in four seasons at Washington. Her best season was as a junior, when she averaged 17 points a game and shot career bests from the field, from three, and at the free throw line en route to All-Big Ten Second Team honors.
After missing the first six games in 2025-26 with a lower-body injury, Ladine struggled to find a rhythm throughout her senior season. Her season high of 25 points came at a crucial time, however, propelling Washington past USC in the Big Ten Tournament.
The Storm begin practice on Sunday and have until May 8 to reduce their roster from 18 players to 12.
