Wisconsin basketball landed a commitment from George Washington transfer guard Trey Autry on Thursday night.
Autry is the program’s first commitment of the transfer cycle. The rising senior started all 34 games for George Washington last season, averaging 28.7 minutes, 11 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.8 blocks per game. He also shot 43.5% from the floor and 38.5% from 3.

The veteran appeared in a total of 100 games during his three years at George Washington. The strong 3-point shooter profiles as a leading bench contributor on the 2026-26 Badgers, assuming the program still adds several transfers to its backcourt.
247Sports ranks Autry as the No. 257 overall player in the transfer portal and No. 51 shooting guard.
Wisconsin is still working to replace the production of star guards John Blackwell and Nick Boyd, who left for the transfer portal and the NBA, respectively. Autry should be the program’s first move of many this offseason.
