DraftBot’s Best Remaining Prospects for Commanders in the 2026 NFL Draft – Day 3

DraftBot’s Best Remaining Prospects for Commanders in the 2026 NFL Draft – Day 3

Well, Day 2 of the draft didn’t unfold quite like most Commanders’ fans were expecting.

Instead of picking more highly rated players, according to draft boards around the internet, Adam Peters selected former Clemson WR Antonio Williams out of Clemson. While most commenters on the Hogs Haven Day 2 open thread had someone they liked better, including the DraftBot’s personnel department, the pick can’t be called a reach.  Williams’ consensus rank at the time of the selection was 71st overall, exactly where he was picked.

Williams did not stand out in the advanced metrics I analyzed for my WRs roundup, published earlier in the draft cycle. However, revisiting his numbers after the fact revealed that he was good across the board, without posting elite numbers in any individual category.  I will have more to say about that particular pick when the DraftBot and I publish our Kind of Snappy Draft Grades next week.

Heading into Day 3, there are plenty of opportunities remaining for Adam Peters to find Washington’s versions of TE George Kittle and S Talanoa Hufanga.

The Commanders’ are currently scheduled to pick first at 147th in the 5th round, followed by two picks in the 6th round (187, 209) and one in the 7th (223). But a lot could happen to change that once the action gets underway. The BrisVegas crew will be sleeping through most of Day 3, due to the time zone difference, so we’ll have to catch up on Sunday morning, local time.

Following are the best remaining players on the DraftBot’s board. The DraftBot’s board contains 139 players, so you need to multiply its board ranks by 1.85 to approximate draft positions:
