UFC Perth video: Jack Della Maddalena, Carlos Prates inch closer to showdown

Maybe knowing they don’t have to fight in the middle of the morning has the UFC Perth headliners a little more raring to go.

Former welterweight titleholder Jack Della Maddalena (18-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) returns Saturday for the first time since he lost his belt, and he’ll do it on his home turf in Australia. The ex-champ takes on Carlos Prates (23-7 MMA, 6-1 UFC) in the UFC Fight Night 275 main event.

And for the first time at a UFC show in Australia, they’ll do it in actual prime time in the country they’re fight in – not backed into a time slot convenient for viewers in North America. UFC Fight Night 275 (Paramount+) takes place Saturday at RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia, with a main card that starts at 7 a.m. in the States.

Thursday, key fighters on the main card took questions from the media in Perth, then got face to face ahead of Friday’s weigh-ins and Saturday’s card.
