Keegan Murray underwent a minimally invasive arthroscopic procedure on Tuesday to remove loose bodies from his left ankle, according to James Ham of The Kings Beat.

The expected recovery timeline is six-to-eight weeks, meaning the Sacramento Kings forward should be fully ready for training camp later this year if there are no setbacks.

After being highly durable during his first three NBA seasons, Murray struggled through multiple injuries in 2025-26.

His debut was delayed until November following thumb surgery, and he later missed significant time with calf and ankle injuries before eventually aggravating the ankle issue and ending his season early.

Murray appeared in just 23 games, averaging 14.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.6 blocks per game. He also posted career-low shooting percentages from both the field and three-point range.

Despite the injury-plagued season, Sacramento still considers Murray a key part of its future after signing him to a five-year, $140 million extension last October.

The deal officially begins this summer and runs through the 2030-31 season.
