Colorado offers 2027 Texas cornerback, an intriguing unranked prospect

Colorado football extended an offer to class of 2027 Texas cornerback Prince Washington on Tuesday.

Washington, a Houston native, is an unranked prospect but holds ten offers from various programs. In-state schools like Houston and North Texas seem to be leading the race, holding official visits with Washington later this summer. However, Colorado and Houston are the only Power Four schools to extend an offer.

At 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, Washington is a prototypical outside cornerback. His lead recruiter is Colorado’s cornerback coach, Aaron Fletcher. Washington would definitely be an intriguing addition to the Buffs class and would be the second defensive back commitment in the 2027 class.

The Buffs are busy trying to fill out their 2027 recruiting class, with just three commitments so far. The class is led by four-star quarterback Andre Adams, who has been busy on the recruiting trail, trying to get players to join him in Boulder.
