Ohio State offered the Indiana commitment on April 6 and they are expected to turn up the pursuit.
“I saw him at a combine last Thursday. We are working on getting him up to campus for an official visit this summer. Well, at least we were,” a Power 4 defensive coordinator told A to Z Sports. “It sounds like Ohio State is probably about to make a big push. Nobody thinks he’s going to say no to Ohio State if they do. It’s probably not even worth our time. The odds he ends up in Columbus are strong.”
Torbert needs to add weight being that he’s only around 160 pounds, but he jumps off the screen when watching his tape with his quickness and football instincts. According to 247 Sports Composite, Torbert is the No. 16 cornerback and No. 139 player nationally in the class of 2027. 28 schools have extended an offer to Torbert with Michigan, Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, and Notre Dame all involved.

Defensive backs coach Tim Walton doesn’t have his first commitment yet at cornerback as mentioned, but that could soon change. Torbert is an explosive player who could be a real playmaker in the Big Ten. His recruitment is one worth watching over the summer.
