The pace may have slowed for “The Almighty” in recent years, but he’s not that far removed from performances that led to headlining spots.
Arnold Allen (20-4 MMA, 11-3 UFC) returns Saturday to the UFC main event stage when he takes on Melquizael Costa (26-7 MMA, 6-2 UFC) in the UFC Fight Night 276 main event. The 32-year-old Brit will be looking for a return to the win column after a loss to Jean Silva in January that gave him three setbacks in his past four fights.

But those losses have come to elite featherweights: Former champion and BMF titleholder Max Holloway, then-unbeaten Movsar Evloev and Silva. And because they’ve come in the past three years, it’d be easy to forget Allen won his first 10 fights in the UFC.
One of those was arguably his best performance to date – when he took out Dan Hooker in just a half-round in the UFC London co-main event in 2022. He picked up just his second post-fight bonus with that win, as well.
Ahead of his return against the streaking Costa, who is a slight betting favorite in the fight, check out Allen’s stellar finish of Hooker in the video above.
Then don’t miss his main event against Costa at UFC Fight Night 276 (Paramount+), which takes place Saturday at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
