Big Cat Weekend is heating up on the Plains, and so is Auburn‘s trend for a three-star linebacker from Georgia.
Three-star linebacker Kareem Palmer is a late arrival to Big Cat Weekend, which is a great sign for Alex Golesh and the Tigers, according to two recruiting experts at Rivals. Chad Simmons and Steve Wiltfong of Rivals have submitted predictions favoring Auburn to land Palmer, pushing the Tigers’ forecast to 94.9% and giving them an overwhelming lead over Georgia Tech, Florida, Tennessee, and Alabama.

The 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker from Lyons, Georgia, has logged 110 tackles and 16 tackles for loss over the last two seasons at Toombs County High School, and has played an important part in the Bulldogs two-straight GHSA A-D1 state championship appearances. Palmer recorded six tackles and forced a fumble in Toombs County’s most recent state championship appearance against Worth County last December, and logged a season-high nine tackles in the Bulldogs’ 47-20 win over Swainsboro in October.
Palmer is a three-star linebacker from Lyons, Georgia, and is the No. 65 linebacker from the 2027 cycle according to Rivals’ Industry Rankings, and is the No. 80 player from Georgia in the class. Auburn owns the nation’s No. 25 recruiting class according to Rivals, with six commitments, headlined by four-star running back Myson Johnson-Cook.
