The Philadelphia 76ers are continuing their search for a new lead basketball executive following the departure of Daryl Morey.
According to Jake Fischer, Matt Lloyd, Mike Gansey, and Nick U’Ren are among the leading candidates being considered for the role.
The search is being overseen by Bob Myers, who will supervise the executive eventually hired by Philadelphia.
Lloyd currently serves as general manager of the Minnesota Timberwolves under Tim Connelly and was previously considered a strong candidate for the Chicago Bulls’ executive opening.
Gansey, meanwhile, is the general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers under Koby Altman and is widely viewed around the league as a future lead decision-maker.
U’Ren currently works as the lead executive for the Phoenix Mercury and has a longstanding relationship with Myers from their years together with the Golden State Warriors.
Reports also indicated that Onsi Saleh was considered, though the Atlanta Hawks are not expected to make him available.
