Giannis Antetokounmpo has identified Kevin Durant as the most difficult opponent he has faced defensively, while also describing him as the best scorer in league history.

The Milwaukee Bucks forward made the comments while reflecting on matchups against elite offensive players across his NBA career. He pointed specifically to Durant’s scoring profile and shot creation as key factors behind the assessment.

Giannis stated: “Toughest player gotta be KD. Great talent. Probably the best scorer of all time.”

Durant has built one of the most consistent scoring profiles in NBA history across multiple teams and eras. His career scoring average stands at 27.1 points per game, supported by efficiency from all three levels of the floor.

Durant’s peak scoring seasons include multiple campaigns above 30 points per game, highlighted by his 2010-11 season at 27.7 points and his 2013-14 MVP season at 32.0 points per game. His combination of length, shooting range, and mid-range creation has placed him among the league’s most productive offensive players over an 18-year span.

Across his career, Durant has maintained strong shooting efficiency, including a field-goal percentage above 50% and consistent free-throw accuracy near the 88–90% range. His ability to score without heavy reliance on isolation volume has contributed to sustained output across different team systems.

Giannis, who has developed into one of the league’s primary two-way forwards, has frequently been tasked with guarding elite scorers in postseason environments. His defensive role with the Bucks has often required matchups against high-usage wings and forwards, including Durant in both regular-season and playoff contexts.
