Experienced UFC lightweights aim to crack rankings in new Belgrade addition

A battle between two of the UFC’s more underrated lightweights has been booked for Belgrade.

At UFC Fight Night 283, Ludovit Klein battles former RIZIN tournament champion Tofiq Musayev in a three-round lightweight bout. The event takes place at Belgrade Arena in Serbia.

Two people with knowledge of the matchup recently informed MMA Junkie of the booking but asked to remain anonymous as the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. Heavy was first to report the news.

Klein (24-5-1 MMA, 8-3-1 UFC) has quietly racked up win after win. Since a 1-2 start to his UFC career, Klein has gone 7-1-1 with his only loss against Mateusz Gamrot. Notable wins include Mateusz Rebecki, Ignacio Bahamondes, Thiago Moises and Mason Jones.

Musayev (23-6 MMA, 1-1 UFC) signed with the UFC in 2025 with a lot of hype that stemmed from his stints in RIZIN and Bellator. He was submitted in his UFC debut, though was given a pass in the eyes of many as opponent Myktybek Orolbai weighed so heavy that the promotion slid the bout from lightweight to a 165-pound catchweight. Musayev appeared in truer form his second UFC fight when he defeated Ignacio Bahamondes by unanimous decision.

The updated UFC Belgrade lineup includes:

  • Uros Medic vs. Daniel Rodriguez

  • Aleksandar Rakic vs. Marcin Tybura

  • Ante Delija vs. Johnny Walker

  • Ludovit Klein vs. Tofiq Musayev

  • Max Gimenis vs. Jovan Leka

  • Dusko Todorovic vs. Robert Valentin

  • Vlasto Cepo vs. Gilbert Urbina
