Texas State Champ Brooklyn Poole Verbally Commits to TCU for 2027

NEW COMMIT: Texas Christian University has scored a verbal commitment for the 2027-28 season and beyond from in-state standout Brooklyn Poole of College Station, Texas. Poole is a Junior National qualifier who excels in breaststroke.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am incredibly blessed and excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Texas Christian University!! First, I would like to thank God for blessing me with this opportunity and giving me wisdom and discernment throughout this process. I would also like to thank my family, friends, teammates, and coaches for their unwavering love and support. A big thank you to Coach Carolyn, Coach James, and the rest of the coaching staff at TCU for this opportunity! Go Frogs!!”

Poole, who trains year-round with Aggie Swim Club, took fourth in the 200 breast and fifth in the 50 breast and 100 breast at Justin Speedo Sectionals in March. She had a great showing at Gulf Southern Senior Championships in December, notching four top-8 finishes highlighted by a win in the 200 breast.

Her best times include:

  • 100 breast – 1:02.99
  • 200 breast – 2:16.23
  • 200 IM – 2:04.29

Currently a junior at Consolidated High School, Poole won the 200 IM and took second in the 100 breast at the 2026 Texas UIL 5A State Championships. She eared bronze in both of those events during her sophomore season at the state meet.

TCU placed sixth at the 2026 Big 12 Championships. Poole’s best times in both the 100 breast and 200 breast are already fast enough to earn a second swim in the C-final at the conference meet.
