I don’t think I will fill this space every day with the latest on Brendan Sorsby. But it won’t be never either.
As you all know, the Texas Tech quarterback is facing major backlash after his eligibility was restored for all but two games this season.

Sorby’s season had been shut down by the NCAA after he admitted to placing thousands of bets on college sports while being a part of teams at Indiana and Cincinnati.
With the support of Texas Tech, Sorsby filed a suit to regain his ability to play and it was successful.
The reaction to Sorsby has been overwhelmingly against him by people involved in college sports.
Some schools have suggested they won’t schedule games against the Red Raiders in the future. That might be more about not wanting to add losses. Tech is now an uber-competitive football program with endless resources.
Tech has created a real problem for the Big 12. Other schools in the league would like to see Tech sit Sorsby on its own, but it seems that is not going to happen. It might not work anyway. Any attempt to bench the quarterback would certainly bring another suit.

Of well. it will be interesting to see what happens. If Sorsby remains eligible, his first game will be Sept. 18 at home against Houston. With a sold-out crowd in his corner and a massive TV audience watching at home,
Sorsby won’t receive the hero treatment when Tech goes on the road to Colorado, Cincinnati (his old school) Oklahoma State and Baylor.
