Three-star wide receiver Anthony Williams, a standout at Oceanside Collegiate Academy in Mount Pleasant, S.C., concluded his official visit to North Carolina on Sunday and set June 14 as his commitment date.
Williams plans to reveal his college choice at 6 p.m. that day, after completing an official visit to East Carolina this week. Liberty and Virginia Tech, along with UNC and ECU, make up his final four.

Williams told TarHeel247 that North Carolina made a strong push during the weekend trip, noting both the football program and the university left a lasting mark.
“I loved how welcoming everyone was,” Williams said. “I didn’t even have to ask many questions because they answered all of the questions I had in my mind before I could ask them.”
Williams said North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick zeroed in on his ability to line up all over the field.
“Coach Belichick likes how I can play inside and outside and they need players like me that can do that,” Williams said.
He added that the campus atmosphere and interactions with students and staff stood out.

“The people were amazing,” Williams said. “They were welcoming and not just because I was a football recruit. The first day I had my lanyard on that said I was a recruit, so people knew who I was. But the second day I didn’t wear it, and people still treated me so well all over campus. I could tell there were a lot of God-centered people who have Christ in their lives.”
Williams lived in Greenville, N.C., until age 6 and will head back to the state later this week for his East Carolina visit, which runs Thursday through Saturday. He said the chance to see the field quickly is a major selling point for the Pirates.
