The Florida State Seminoles didn’t have the season they wanted in 2025, but wide receiver Duce Robinson made his name known. He was one of the focal points in the Seminoles’ offense, which finished as the No. 6 unit in the nation a year ago.
Ari Wasserman of On3 feels like Robinson is one of the best players in the country at his position. When he released his top 10 receivers entering the 2026 season, Robinson came in at No. 6 on the list.
Vibes are low in Tallahassee heading into the season, but Florida State has a chance to do something because Robinson is on the roster. A former five-star prospect in the 2023 class, Robinson didn’t live up to the hype his freakish traits promised at USC. He transferred to Florida State before last season and instantly became one of the toughest matchups in the ACC. Robinson had 56 receptions for 1,081 yards and six touchdowns a year ago. Now, Florida State fans have to hope quarterback transfer Ashton Daniels can get him the rock.
Robinson’s 6-foot-6 frame was a matchup nightmare for opponents last season as he averaged over 19 yards per reception. He had five games over 120 yards, with his best performance coming against the East Texas A&M Lions in their second game. Robinson had a career-high 173 yards and scored two touchdowns.

Tim Harris Jr., who is also the wide receivers coach, is the offensive coordinator by name. However, head coach Mike Norvell will once again be the primary play caller. He’s been known to open up the Seminoles’ offense, which should mean more big numbers for Robinson.
FSU is returning guys like sophomore sensation Micahi Danzy, potential stud Jayvan Boggs, and an impressive haul of talented receivers from their 2026 recruiting class. They will look to elevate their game to allow Robinson to continue to torture defenses with more one-on-one opportunities.
