Alabama Football Recruiting Surge Continues as Kalen DeBoer Lands Two More 2027 Commitments

If there were any doubts about the direction of Alabama football‘s 2027 recruiting class, Tuesday provided another reminder that Kalen DeBoer and his staff are building something special in Tuscaloosa.

The Crimson Tide added two more commitments to their growing 2027 class, landing offensive tackle Stafford Willis and edge rusher Tyler Younger. While Alabama‘s 2027 class may not be the largest in the country, it continues to prove that quality matters more than quantity.

In fact, that has become the defining characteristic of this recruiting cycle.

Alabama entered the summer with a relatively small group of commitments compared to some of its competitors. Critics pointed to the numbers and questioned whether the Crimson Tide was falling behind in recruiting under DeBoer.

Instead, Alabama has remained patient, selective, and strategic.

Now, that approach is beginning to pay off.

The biggest headline of the day came when Stafford Willis announced his commitment to Alabama. The 6-foot-5, 290-pound offensive tackle chose the Crimson Tide over Virginia Tech and South Carolina, giving Alabama another talented prospect in the trenches.
