The 2026 college football season will kick off Aug. 29 at Aviva Stadium in Dublin, Ireland. The season’s first FBS game will feature North Carolina versus TCU.

Kickoff between the Tar Heels and Horned Frogs is scheduled for noon EDT (ESPN).

The first game of the season featuring a Southeastern Conference school will be Missouri hosting Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Sept. 3. Kickoff is slated for 8 p.m. EDT at Memorial Stadium in Columbia, Missouri (SEC Network).

Tennessee will kick off its 2026 football season Sept. 5 versus Furman at Neyland Stadium. The Vols’ season opener is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. EDT (SEC Network+).

Ahead of the season kicking off, EA Sports College Football 27 will launch worldwide Thursday for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Early access started July 2 for MVP+ Members and Monday for Deluxe Edition/MVP Bundle preorders.

The top 25 toughest places to play are ranked for EA Sports College Football 27. Neyland Stadium is ranked No. 8 for toughest places to play, while LSU’s Tiger Stadium is ranked No. 1 overall.
