Minnesota Lynx point guard Olivia Miles will miss a game for the first time in her WNBA career because of a right calf injury.
Miles will sit out as the Lynx play host to the Connecticut Sun on Monday, July 6, at the Target Center (8 p.m. ET, WNBA League Pass). Teammate Napheesa Collier is also out, but is expected to return soon from the ankle injury sustained in the postseason last fall. Miles played 26 minutes in a loss to the New York Liberty on Friday because of cramping during the game. She was later listed as questionable with the injury Sunday evening.

Miles, the favorite for Rookie of the Year, has started 20 games for the league-leading Lynx, averaging 18.5 points, 5.7 assists and 4.8 rebounds in 30.5 minutes. She was the No. 2 overall pick in the WNBA draft out of TCU.
Monday night’s game against Connecticut (4-16) will also be another chance for coach Cheryl Reeve to break the record for most regular-season wins in WNBA history. Both Reeve and coach Mike Thibault have 379 wins.
The Lynx expect Dorka Juhasz (probable) to make her season debut against the Sun after dealing with a right foot injury.
