Skylar Diggins Unloads Frustrations Over Sky Bench Role After Courtney Vandersloot’s Return to Chicago

by

Skylar Diggins has hinted at a probable change in the Chicago Sky’s offensive strategy with her latest Instagram post on Tuesday. The team has a 6-14 record and is second-to-last in the conference. The guard has spoken openly about the team’s lack of maturity, both on and off the court, after the team lost back-to-back games to the Las Vegas Aces. And now, it seems she has once again got the Sky’s management on target.

Courtney Vandersloot, sidelined with a torn right ACL, joined the team for the first time this season against the Portland Fire, scoring 10 points and dishing out seven assists off the bench on a minutes restriction. And it seems HC Tyler Marsh is looking to experiment with a different starting lineup. In her latest Instagram story, Diggins wrote:

“Now I’m coming off the bench??????{thumb emoji}

Cool “

In the next story, the guard said:

“The crazy part about it all is I’ve been so quiet. I’ve been so good and quiet. I’ve been so good and quiet.”
