What happens in Las Vegas doesn’t always stay in Vegas, as ESPN’s docuseries pulls back the curtain on A’ja Wilson’s 2025 campaign, arguably one of the greatest seasons in WNBA history.

On Thursday, July 9, ESPN announced Wilson will be featured in the six-part original docuseries “Life In the W,” alongside Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier and Phoenix Mercury forward DeWanna Bonner. The series delves into their accomplishments on and off the court throughout the 2025 season.

Wilson, Collier and Bonner make greatness look easy, but the series, produced by LeBron James’ Uninterrupted and Cookie Jar & A Dream Studios, is here to show that’s far from the case.

“A lot of people see what we do on the court, but this is a chance to show everything that comes with it: the work, the sacrifice, the joy and the sisterhood,” said Wilson, the league’s first four-time WNBA MVP. “I’m so proud to be part of this project and allow viewers to connect with who we are beyond basketball.”

A’ja Wilson, Napheesa Collier, and DeWanna Bonner are set to appear in ESPN’s ‘Life in the W.’ The six-part original docuseries premieres on July 24.

Wilson became the first WNBA or NBA player to win the scoring title, MVP, Defensive Player of the Year and Finals MVP in the same season. She cemented a dynasty with her third WNBA championship in five years, which was made possible by her game-winning turnaround jumper over Phoenix’s Alyssa Thomas and Bonner with 0.9 remaining in Game 3 of the 2025 WNBA Finals

Collier became the second player in WNBA history to record a 50-40-90 regular season, finishing the regular season with a 50% field-goal percentage, 40% 3-point field-goal percentage and 90% free-throw percentage. Bonner re-signed with Phoenix midway through the season and was pivotal in helping the Mercury reach the 2025 WNBA Finals.

But none of that would be possible without their respective support systems. It’s a reoccurring theme in the first-look released on Thursday. Wilson shares a kiss with beau, Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo. Collier shares a meal with her husband, Alex Bazzell, and daughter, Mila. Bonner embraces her twin daughters, Cali and Demi.

“Basketball is life-changing, but is it worth missing your family?” Bonner ponders in the trailer.

“Basketball has been such a big part of my life, but it’s only one part of who I am,” Bonner added in a statement. “This series shows the moments that matter most to me off the court too, especially the time I spend with my family. I’m grateful to share that side of my journey and give fans a look at what keeps me grounded throughout a long season.”

The 2025 WNBA season was the last under the 2020 CBA after the WNBPA exercised its right to opt out of the agreement in 2024 amid unprecedented growth. The players petitioned for increased revenue sharing and favorable salary structures throughout the season, including the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis, where players donned “Pay Us What You Owe Us” T-shirts. A new CBA was eventually reached in March.

“The growth of women’s basketball has been incredible to see, and it’s important that fans get to know the people helping drive that momentum,” Collier said in a statement. “This series gives viewers a chance to connect with our stories in a real way, and I hope it inspires the next generation of players and fans.”

“Life In the W” premieres July 24, coinciding with the 2026 WNBA All-Star Weeknd in Chicago amid the league’s 30th anniversary.
