It’s a crowded race at the top of the WNBA standings, but the Minnesota Lynx are still in pole position, and they’re chasing a sixth straight win as they visit the Seattle Storm tonight.

Minnesota enters as a monster -450 favorite here, and my Lynx vs Storm predictions fear the worst for a 6-21 Seattle team that’s lost four in a row.

Lynx vs Storm prediction
Lynx vs Storm best bet: Lynx -9.5 (-110)
The Minnesota Lynx have lost as many games this season as the Seattle Storm have won, and I don’t see the visitors easing off at Climate Pledge Arena.
Minnesota has been one of the WNBA’s most complete teams, ranking second in defensive rating while averaging 91 points per game, the second-highest mark in the league. The Lynx also lead the WNBA in 3-point shooting, giving them the firepower to build separation quickly against a Seattle team that’s just ninth in scoring and ninth in 3-point percentage.

The Lynx are 10-2 SU on the road this season, boosted by Olivia Miles‘ instant impact, and they handed the Storm a 20-point defeat when these teams met last month. While Minnesota has failed to cover a few inflated numbers recently, that’s helped keep tonight’s spread in a playable range. Against a rebuilding Seattle squad that’s dropped six of its last seven games, I’d still be comfortable laying the points up to -10.5.

COVERS INTEL:
The Lynx are 6-3 ATS as road favorites this year, with a +5.2 ATS margin in those games.
Lynx vs Storm same-game parlay
I don’t see the Lynx taking their eye off the ball here just before the All-Star break, especially after head coach Cheryl Reeve demanded more on the defensive end.

The Over is 4-1 in the last five meetings between these teams, and it’s been a winning ticket in the Storm’s past three games. Plus, we get to wager on a leaky Seattle defense that’s coughed 197 points across the last two games.
Kayla McBride can add to their woes here. She’s on a tear, cruising past the 20-point mark in her last six games, and she’s drilled 4+ 3-pointers in seven of her past nine games.

Flau’jae Johnson Over 19.5 points + rebounds (-105)
Flau’jae Johnson is part of the future in Seattle, and she’s getting every chance to prove it in the Storm’s youth movement this year.

Johnson has hit this combo Over in back-to-back games, and the volume is there, with 33 shots across her last two outings. The rookie’s efficiency comes and goes, but her 25-6-4 stat line against the Chicago Sky on Wednesday shows the undeniable potential.
