We have known about the Kansas City Chiefs’ future move across state lines to a brand-new, enclosed stadium in Wyandotte County for a little under a year now. On Wednesday, renderings of what the new home of the Chiefs will look like were released.

There was plenty of positive and negative reaction to the internal and external design, along with the number of parking spaces, but the exact location of this venue has not been revealed.

Kansas City, Kansas Mayor Christal Watson said she is excited by the six renderings the Kansas City Chiefs released Wednesday of their planned domed stadium — but acknowledged she has no answers yet on where exactly within the Star Bond District the facility will be built.
“The renderings look wonderful,” Watson said. “There’s this old and new look to them, keeping the integrity of Arrowhead, but yet this new little twist, which is the dome.”
Watson said the city has no role in determining the stadium’s precise location within the financing district.

Fully enclosed with a translucent ETFE roof, Manica hopes to improve on many of the team’s traditions. The more than 20,000 parking spaces in the lot will be designed to specifically enhance the tailgating experience. The stadium’s size, shape and roof geometry were determined after audio engineers studied the design to maximize crowd noise. The seating bowl design is reminiscent of the current Arrowhead Stadium with a Drum Deck for celebrations and a prominent placement of the Chiefs Ring of Honor above the bowl.

The Chiefs gave Remigio playing time as a kick/punt returner last year, but the experiment largely failed. As a receiver, Remigio only managed to record one reception for 24 yards in 2025. His familiarity with Kansas City’s coaching staff may work in Remigio’s favor, but it will likely take Herculean performances in training camp and the preseason to get the Chiefs to take a mulligan on him.

Sleeper: Jalen Royals, WR
Kansas City’s top pass catchers are (in some order) a tight end who turns 37 in October, a wide receiver who it seems is one off-field misstep away from being out of football, and a former first-rounder who only scored one touchdown and 532 yards last year despite playing as the team’s borderline WR1 much of the year. After those three (Travis Kelce, Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy, in order), the next options are guys like Tyquan Thornton, fifth-round rookie Cyrus Allen, backup tight end Noah Gray and Jalen Royals. In short, this team is not flush with pass-catching options, and if Patrick Mahomes can return healthy, someone’s going to have to step up, especially if Kelce really is over the age cliff and/or Rice can’t get his head on right. Royals did essentially nothing as a fourth-round rookie last year, not even seeing a target until he had 2 receptions for 4 yards on 3 targets in Week 18.

Another wrote: “Use real grass, no turf! Looks sweet, I hope the real thing ends up looking similar to these renderings. Like that they’re keeping the general Arrowhead shape in this. Wish they were never leaving, but if we’re gonna leave might as well do it right.”

Seahawks’ Nick Emmanwori has ankle surgery, expected to play W1 | ESPN
According to a source, the Seahawks knew that Emmanwori might eventually require surgery. He tried to manage his ankle over the offseason, but as he was ramping up for the start of training camp, he continued to experience soreness and opted to have an arthroscopic procedure that was performed earlier this month.
After returning from his initial ankle injury, Emmanwori emerged as a versatile playmaker and a key part of Seattle’s top-ranked scoring defense. Serving as the Seahawks’ third safety, Emmanwori recorded 11 passes defended, 2.5 sacks and an interception in 14 regular-season games on his way to finishing second in voting for Associated Press Rookie of the Year.
Jimmy Garoppolo open to playing after considering retirement | NFL.com
After contemplating calling it a career earlier this offseason, Garoppolo has decided not to retire and would come back to play in the right situation, NFL Network Insider Mike Garafolo reported Wednesday.
A 12-season NFL veteran with two Super Bowl rings won during his time with the New England Patriots, Garoppolo was with the Los Angeles Rams the last two seasons as Matthew Stafford’s backup.
There is nothing imminent, per Garafolo, who added it might take an injury to a quarterback or the need for a veteran to get into the mix.
Tyreek Hill says in rehab video he is trying to regain power in his left leg | Pro Football Talk
“So it’s about 10 months after doing two surgeries,” Hill said. “My left leg is the one that I injured. I have no power in my left leg, so I’m trying to regain all the power back in my left leg. But it’s one day at a time.”
In the 1-minute, 38-second social media post, titled Cheetah, Reborn, Hill runs and jumps outside on turf, on a basketball court and in a pool at what appears to be his Florida home.
“I ain’t going to tell you what my timeline is, but timeline looking real good right now, man,” Hill said.

Several veteran edge rushers remain unsigned and may simply plan to sign after some of the hot summer training camp practices have passed. The Chiefs could very well plan to add a veteran defensive end, similar to adding Carlos Dunlap early in 2022’s camp.
Without such a move, Anudike-Uzomah by default appears set to blow past the 31% of defensive snaps he played in 2024.
