Former Washington Huskies guard Quimari Peterson is continuing his basketball journey across the Atlantic Ocean with Limburg United in Belgium.
Peterson, a Gary, Indiana native who came to UW after previous stops at Indiana State, John A. Logan College and East Tennessee State, made 18 starts and appeared in all 33 games for coach Danny Sprinkle in his only season with the Huskies.

The 2024-25 Southern Conference Player of the Year proved to be an effective two-way guard with 44 steals, the sixth most in the Big Ten Conference, while averaging 9.2 points and 2.9 rebounds per game for the Huskies.
Founded in 2014, the first division Belgium franchise is coming off a strong 2025-26 campaign that included the team ending the season on an eight-game win streak. According to EuroBasket, the former standout college guard projects to be Limburg United’s starting point guard along with four other American-born starters.
Peterson spent two seasons at East Tennessee State before transferring to UW in 2025-26 to play out his final year of eligibility, averaging 13.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game, earning First Team All-SoCon honors as a junior in 2024-25.

Prior to that, he spent one season at John A. Logan College in Carterville, Illinois, where he led the junior college to a 33-2 overall record and its first-ever NJCAA Championship for the 2022-23 season.
The Indiana native and West Side High School product began his college basketball career at Indiana State. He made four total appearances in 2021-22 as a freshman for the Sycamores, playing a career-high 25 minutes in an 80-74 overtime loss at Northern Iowa, which saw Peterson score 6 points and pull down 5 rebounds.
