Indiana Fever guard named Eastern Conference Player of the Month

The WNBA announced on Wednesday that Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell has been named July’s Eastern Conference Player of the Month.

This past month, Mitchell scored a league-high 272 points, averaging 27.2 points per game, which ranked second in the WNBA. Mitchell scored 20-plus points in all 10 games played in July, leading the league in 20-point outings in July.

Mitchell’s 27.2 points per game average set a franchise record for the highest scoring average in a single month, surpassing her own previous high of 25.2 points per game set in August 2024. Mitchell led the Fever in scoring in seven of its 10 July games.
