Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever (24-13) are headed back to the WNBA playoffs.
Despite being idle, Toronto‘s 82-79 win over Portland officially punched the Fever‘s WNBA playoffs ticket. It marks the third straight season in which the Fever have qualified for the WNBA playoffs. The Fever will be in pursuit of the franchise’s second-ever WNBA championship.

A sensational July where the Fever posted an 8-2 record helped jumpstart Indiana’s trek toward the postseason. Before last Thursday’s loss at the Dallas Wings, Indiana had won five straight and 10 of its past 12 games.
Clark has been splendid this season, setting more league and franchise records while averaging 21.7 points and 8.3 assists per game on 44.4% shooting and 35.4% 3-point shooting.
Indiana has seven remaining regular-season games, including Saturday’s trip to battle the New York Liberty. If the season were to end today, Indiana would be the No. 4 seed and would meet the fifth-seeded Atlanta Dream (23-13). Indiana and Atlanta split their season series, 2-2.
