UCLA basketball loses point guard Donovan Dent to LSU

by

UCLA Bruins Men’s Basketball’s star point guard Donovan Dent followed his former teammate Skyy Clark to the SEC as they join Will Wade’s LSU Tigers with their extra year of eligibility, according to On3.

Dent had seemingly retired from playing basketball following his 2025 stint with the Bruins, but in an unexpected turn of events, Clark and him sought another year of college ball. Now they both seem to be reunited in the backcourt for the Tigers and in the process, as one of the most dynamic players for the Bruins last year remains in college basketball with a contender.

The Bruins former star point guard started his career off in the Mountain West Conference’s New Mexico Lobos, where he would play his first three-years of college basketball. He only started in two games during his 2022 campaign, but the more playing time he had, the more successful he became.
