Alabama football just keeps stacking recruiting wins.
Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide added another important piece to their rapidly growing 2027 recruiting class on Thursday when in-state edge rusher Jeremiah Beverly announced his commitment to Alabama, giving the Tide yet another talented homegrown prospect to build around for the future.
The 6-foot-2, 235-pound standout from Hillcrest High School made the announcement during The Gary Harris Show, calling the opportunity to play for his home-state school a dream come true. Beverly later celebrated the decision on social media with a simple but powerful message:

It is easy to understand why Alabama fans are excited.
Beverly may currently be listed as a three-star prospect, but his combination of strength, explosiveness and physicality has made him one of the state’s fastest-rising defensive players. After impressing Alabama’s coaching staff during camp and continuing to build momentum throughout the recruiting process, the Crimson Tide made Beverly a priority. That investment paid off as he ultimately chose Alabama over Wake Forest, Cincinnati and several other programs pursuing him.
His commitment also speaks volumes about the job DeBoer and his staff continue to do keeping elite Alabama talent at home.

Over the past several weeks, Alabama has landed commitment after commitment from highly regarded prospects, and Beverly now becomes the fourth player to pledge to the Crimson Tide this week alone. With his decision, Alabama’s 2027 recruiting class has now grown to at least 12 commitments and continues to climb among the nation’s best.
One of the most intriguing parts of Beverly’s future in Tuscaloosa is how Alabama plans to use him defensively.
Beverly projects as a player who could eventually thrive in Alabama’s versatile defensive scheme. At 6-foot-2 and 235 pounds, he has the size and physicality to develop into an impact edge defender capable of disrupting quarterbacks and setting the edge against the run. His combination of strength and athleticism gives Alabama’s coaching staff plenty of flexibility as he continues to develop.

Even better, Beverly will reunite with former Hillcrest teammate Zay Hall once he arrives on campus, giving Alabama another pair of players who already have chemistry both on and off the field.
Recruiting has become one of the biggest storylines of DeBoer’s tenure, and the momentum simply refuses to slow down. After putting together strong classes in each of his first recruiting cycles, the Crimson Tide is once again proving it can compete with anyone in the country for elite talent while continuing to lock down the state’s top prospects.
Beverly’s commitment is another reminder that Alabama’s future on defense looks incredibly bright.
The Crimson Tide didn’t just land another edge rusher, they landed another Alabama kid who grew up dreaming of wearing crimson and white. Those commitments often carry a little extra meaning, and Beverly made it clear exactly what this opportunity means to him.

For DeBoer, it is another major recruiting victory.
For Alabama fans, it is another reason to believe the Tide’s 2027 class is shaping up to be something special.
Roll Tide.
