Antoine Griezmann’s MLS debut could not have gone much better.
The French star scored three minutes into the second half on Wednesday, July 22, helping Orlando City to a 4-0 road win over the San Jose Earthquakes.

Griezmann got on the board after a poor giveaway from San Jose, as Justin Ellis found the 35-year-old with an incisive pass. Griezmann cut onto his left foot and put away a low shot to the near post to make it 3-0.
The goal was also the 300th of Griezmann’s club career, which has seen him become Atlético Madrid‘s all-time top scorer in addition to spells with Real Sociedad and FC Barcelona.
Griezmann started and went the distance in his MLS debut, which saw Orlando City move up to 10th in the Eastern Conference standings.
Orlando City announced the signing of Griezmann in March, with the World Cup winner joining the MLS club in July following the end of his final season with Atlético.
