Former head coach Brian Kelly will serve as a college football analyst for CBS Sports during the 2026 season.
On Monday, he predicted each regular-season game for LSU this season. Kelly projects the Tigers with a 10-2 record, including a win at Tennessee on Nov. 21. LSU is projected to lose to Ole Miss and Texas.

“Blake Baker, the defensive coordinator, has done really well against Josh Heupel’s offenses, so I expect LSU to win this game at Tennessee,” Kelly said of the SEC matchup.
Kelly served as LSU’s head coach from 2022-25, compiling a 34-14 (19-10 SEC) record. The Vols won at LSU, 40-13, during Kelly’s first season with the Tigers on Oct. 8, 2022.
He was also Notre Dame’s head coach from 2010-21 and went 92-39.
Kelly compiled a 297-109-2 record during his head coaching career from 1991-2025 at LSU, Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Central Michigan and Grand Valley State.
