The Colorado Buffaloes have landed a commitment from 2027 three-star linebacker Kaylon Bailey, and the Buffs beat out some top schools to do it.
Bailey decided between Ohio State, Louisville and West Virginia. The Buckeyes were seen as the favorites to land the linebacker because he was an Ohio product from Cleveland. Deion Sanders’ program stepped in recent weeks to land its second linebacker commitment in as many days.

247Sports Composite ranks Bailey as the No. 764 overall 2027 prospect, the No. 63 linebacker and the No. 31 player from the state of Ohio.
CU only offered Bailey on May 18, before visiting Boulder earlier in June. He also visited Ohio State, West Virginia and USF this month.
Bailey joins three other Colorado linebacker commitments, Ba’Roc Willis, Jovon Pulliam and Jahmiere Danield-Portis. All four are three-star recruits.
Colorado’s recruiting class now sits at No. 38 overall and No. 4 in the Big 12. Bailey is the Buffaloes’ 17th commitment to their 2027 class.
